Monitor changes in the landscape and coordinate different uses.

Better to avoid environmental damage than to repair the environment! We help to avoid conflicts of use and, in dialogue with all stakeholders, we look for solutions that combine use and protection. For example, in sports and leisure activities, in the military, in construction projects or in agriculture and forestry.

In selected nature conservation or local recreation areas, we prevent problems through targeted education, e.g. in the context of ranger services or excursions, and provide information about the various demands.

The weapons site covers over 500 hectares and includes a wide range of protected and valuable habitats. We provide the authorities with professional support in their maintenance measures and advise them on the planning of new uses and major construction projects. The goal is to continue to preserve and promote the remarkable natural and landscape values with a good coordination of uses.

The national wildlife corridor SO-08 is an important link between the Jura forest sections to the east and west of the Klus and is currently in a limited condition. As part of a preliminary study for the large-scale project ‘Flood protection and revitalisation of the Dünnern from Oensingen to Olten’, we are examining which restoration measures are possible and feasible for the wildlife corridor.
