Studied biology at the University of Bern, majoring in zoology. Diploma thesis on promoting ground beetles for biological pest control in cereal crops. Dissertation on the effectiveness of game passes for small animals, written as part of a project by the Swiss Ornithological Institute in Sempach. Postgraduate studies in business administration and management at the Center for Management at the Bern University of Applied Sciences.
